1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Jobara, including its website, available applications, employer tools, CV services, content and support channels. “Jobara”, “we” and “us” refer to Jobara in Syria. “You” means the person using the service and, where that person is authorised to act for an organisation, that organisation.
Please read these terms before creating an account, submitting content or purchasing a service. Where Jobara asks you to accept a policy, your acceptance is recorded for the version presented to you. If you do not agree, do not use the services that require that acceptance.
The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how information is handled. The Employer Terms, Job Seeker and CV Policy, and Acceptable Use and Content Policy also apply to the activities they cover. They are available in the website’s legal section. Specific terms clearly presented for a particular service apply to that service; none of these documents overrides rights that the law does not allow you to waive.
2. Eligibility and account security
You must have the legal capacity required to use the service and enter into the relevant commitments. Job opportunities and hiring activity must comply with applicable requirements concerning working age, work authorisation and employment. Creating an account does not establish eligibility for a particular job.
Provide accurate information and keep your contact details reasonably up to date. If you manage a company account, you must be authorised to represent the company and use only the permissions assigned to you. Do not impersonate another person or organisation, submit false verification documents, or create accounts to evade a restriction.
Keep passwords, sign-in codes and account recovery details secure. Use the team-access tools provided rather than sharing personal credentials. You are responsible for actions you authorise and for taking reasonable steps to protect your account. Tell us promptly through the support channel if you suspect unauthorised access; responsibility for disputed activity remains subject to the facts and applicable law.
3. Jobara’s role and hiring responsibilities
Jobara provides tools for discovering jobs, publishing vacancies, managing applications and communicating about recruitment. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, Jobara is not a party to an employment contract and does not make hiring decisions for employers. Each party remains responsible for checking the identity, authority and suitability of the people with whom it deals.
Employers are responsible for genuine vacancies, accurate job descriptions, screening questions, compensation and benefit statements, and lawful recruitment decisions. Keep material details current and close or update vacancies that are no longer available. Candidates must accurately describe their experience, qualifications and other application information. Neither a listing nor an application guarantees an interview, an offer, employment or a successful hire.
Verification badges indicate only that the checks described by Jobara have been completed. They are not a guarantee of every statement, future conduct, financial standing or hiring outcome. Employers remain responsible for employment contracts, wages, workplace conditions and legal obligations arising from employment.
4. Applications, CV visibility and candidate information
Submitting an application makes the information and documents included in that application available to the relevant employer and its authorised recruitment team. Review your CV, attachments and answers before submitting them. Application statuses and notifications help you follow the process but do not, by themselves, create an offer or an employment agreement.
CV visibility settings, publication choices and sharing links control access through the features available on Jobara. A person who receives a valid sharing link may be able to use or forward it. Changing visibility or revoking a link can restrict future access through Jobara, but cannot reliably recall copies that a recipient has already downloaded or saved.
Employers may use candidate information only for legitimate recruitment purposes and must protect it, limit access to authorised people, and comply with applicable privacy duties. Paid access or the use of credits does not transfer ownership of candidate data, override visibility controls, or permit resale, unrelated advertising, bulk harvesting or unauthorised model training. Further details appear in the Job Seeker and CV Policy and Privacy Policy.
5. Safe and lawful use
Use Jobara respectfully and for legitimate career or recruitment purposes. You must not:
- Publish fake jobs, impersonate a recruiter, misrepresent pay or working conditions, or use a vacancy to conceal another commercial offer.
- Demand unlawful recruitment payments, advertise hidden charges, seek account passwords or sign-in codes, or request sensitive documents unrelated to a legitimate hiring need.
- Harass, threaten, exploit or unlawfully discriminate against others, or publish unlawful, defamatory or infringing material.
- Send spam, use candidate information for unrelated marketing, or copy, scrape or resell restricted platform data without the required authority and permissions.
- Upload malicious files, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, manipulate applications or metrics, or test systems without prior authorisation.
- Post information about another person, including references and contact details, without a lawful basis and any permission required for that use.
The Acceptable Use and Content Policy provides further detail. Use the reporting or support tools to flag suspected fraud, unsafe requests, inappropriate content or misuse of personal information.
6. Packages, credits, paid promotion and payments
Some services may be free, while others require payment or credits. Before ordering, review the service description, price, currency, included features, credit allowance, duration and any applicable expiry or usage conditions shown to you. A paid promotion improves visibility only as described in the offer; it does not guarantee a particular ranking, number of views, applications or hires.
An order request or payment receipt does not necessarily mean that a service has been activated. Activation depends on payment confirmation, the order’s status and any eligibility or moderation requirements. Payment does not exempt a vacancy or account from platform policies. Changes to future prices do not, by themselves, change the agreed price of an existing order.
Use the cancellation option where it is available for a pending order. For a paid order, a duplicate payment, a service that was not delivered, or another refund request, contact support with the order reference and relevant details. Cancellation and refund requests are assessed against the agreed offer, the service already provided and applicable law. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or full payment credentials to support.
These terms do not create a blanket “no refunds” rule or remove mandatory cancellation or refund rights. Closing an account does not, by itself, cancel an outstanding order or settle a payment dispute. The Employer Terms and the conditions presented for the specific purchase provide additional detail.
7. Ownership and permission to use content
You retain the rights you hold in your CV, profile, job descriptions, logos and other submitted materials. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit them. Jobara’s software, branding, designs and editorial materials remain protected by the rights of Jobara or their respective owners.
You give Jobara a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, format, technically adapt and display your materials as necessary to provide the features you use, process applications, provide authorised access, moderate content and secure the service. This permission also covers service providers acting on Jobara’s behalf for those purposes, subject to applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
Public job adverts and company information may be displayed on Jobara and its official distribution channels to promote the advertised opportunities. Private CVs, private messages and verification documents are not licensed for public advertising merely because they were uploaded. Use of personal information remains subject to the Privacy Policy, access controls and the choices you make in the product.
The permission ends when the relevant content is removed, except to the extent that limited retention or processing is necessary for legal duties, resolving disputes, security, or backup management as explained in the Privacy Policy. Removing content from Jobara does not automatically remove copies held independently by other recipients or services.
8. Privacy, cookies and communications
The Privacy Policy explains the collection, use, sharing, retention and protection of personal information, as well as available requests and rights. The Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies. Accepting these terms is not a substitute for any separate consent required for a particular use of data or an optional feature.
Jobara may send messages needed to operate your account and services, including security alerts, application or order updates, and notices about applicable policies. Optional alerts and promotional messages are managed through the preferences and unsubscribe options available for them. Keep your contact information current so that important notices can reach you.
9. AI assistance, translations and career information
Where available, AI-assisted writing, translation, suggestions, salary information and career articles are support tools. They may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate and are not a guarantee of suitability, salary, employability or a hiring outcome. They do not replace professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
Review and correct suggested content before using or publishing it. Do not present generated experience, qualifications, salary claims or other unsupported statements as facts. You remain responsible for what you submit and for ensuring that you are authorised to provide any information you enter into these tools.
10. External services and off-platform contact
Job adverts, profiles and messages may link to external websites, portfolios, application systems or communication services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Jobara does not control them or become a party to their transactions merely by providing a link. Check the destination and recipient before sharing information, downloading files, paying money or accepting an offer outside Jobara.
11. Moderation, restrictions and complaints
We may review reports and content, request clarification, correct formatting or classification, remove content, restrict visibility, suspend features or end access where reasonably necessary to address a policy breach, unlawful activity, fraud, security risks or harm to others. Measures should be proportionate to the issue. We may act immediately when delay would create a material risk or prevent compliance with law.
Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain a restriction and provide an opportunity to correct the issue or ask for review. Contact support with the relevant account, advert or order reference and a clear explanation if you believe a decision is mistaken. Do not create another account to evade a restriction. This review process does not limit access to lawful remedies or competent authorities.
12. Closing an account and deleting information
You may stop using Jobara and use the account-deletion process available in account settings or the website’s account-deletion page. A company account owner must complete the required ownership transfer before deleting their personal account. Contact support if you cannot complete the available process.
Deletion affects access to accounts, CVs, applications and related features. Save any information you are entitled to retain before requesting it. Data is deleted, anonymised or retained on a limited basis as described in the Privacy Policy, including where necessary for legal obligations, security or unresolved disputes. Copies already held by an employer or another independent recipient are subject to that recipient’s duties. Closure does not erase obligations or rights that arose before it.
13. Availability and limits of responsibility
We aim to keep Jobara useful and reliable, but availability may be affected by maintenance, technical failures, third-party services or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Features may change. Where a change materially affects an unfulfilled paid service, the agreed purchase terms and applicable remedies still apply.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is offered as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access or complete accuracy of third-party content. Jobara does not guarantee recruitment outcomes or the conduct of other users. Users remain responsible for their own employment and commercial decisions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Jobara is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. No provision excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer, employment or privacy rights, or any remedy that the law requires to remain available.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements or platform policies. The published version identifies its version and effective date. Material changes will be brought to the attention of affected users through appropriate website, in-app or email notices, with advance notice where reasonably possible and required by law. Urgent legal or security changes may need to take effect sooner.
Where renewed acceptance is required, Jobara will ask you to accept the updated version before continuing to use the affected services. If you disagree, you may stop using those services and close your account. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights or override the conditions already agreed for a paid service unless lawfully agreed otherwise.
15. Syrian law, disputes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Syrian Arab Republic. Disputes arising from these terms or use of Jobara are subject to the competent courts in Syria, without prejudice to mandatory rules on jurisdiction or any rights that cannot be waived by agreement.
You may contact Jobara through the website’s contact or support page to raise a question, complaint, rights request or dispute. Include the relevant reference and the information needed to understand the issue. Seeking an informal resolution is encouraged but is not a condition for using a legal remedy or taking urgent action.
The Arabic and English versions are intended to describe the same rights and obligations. Please report a discrepancy so it can be corrected. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right does not, by itself, waive that right.
