Standards for professional content, recruitment, messaging, privacy and security, with prohibited conduct, reporting routes and review rights.
1. Purpose and scope
Jobara is a platform for recruitment, job seeking and related professional content. This Acceptable Use and Content Policy sets the standards for using its website, applications and communication tools. It applies to all users, including job seekers, employers, their authorised team members and anyone submitting content or contacting support.
Read this policy with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Employer Terms and Job Seeker and CV Policy, as applicable. It covers profiles, CVs, job adverts, screening questions, applications, messages, files, company pages and other material you submit. Conduct outside Jobara may also be relevant where it uses information obtained through the platform or directly threatens its users or services. Nothing here restricts lawful reporting, criticism or non-waivable rights.
2. Honest identity and accurate information
Use your own account and represent yourself and any organisation truthfully. Act for an employer only with its permission and within your assigned role. Do not impersonate another person, recruiter, organisation or Jobara staff, forge verification documents, rent or sell accounts, or share passwords and sign-in codes.
Do not invent qualifications, employment history, references, company credentials, vacancies, pay or benefits. Do not create fake applications, hiring outcomes, views or other activity to manipulate ranking, verification or trust signals. Correct material errors and keep recruitment information current. A verification badge, published advert or paid promotion does not justify claiming that Jobara guarantees an employer, offer or hiring outcome.

3. Genuine, lawful and fair recruitment
Advertise genuine opportunities and describe the work, employer, location, employment arrangement, requirements and compensation accurately. Do not disguise sales, investment schemes, pyramid schemes, unrelated advertising or personal services as employment. Do not use a vacancy merely to collect CVs or contact details without a genuine recruitment purpose.
Do not charge candidates a fee, deposit or commission as a condition of applying, interviewing or obtaining a job through Jobara, including disguised charges for mandatory training or equipment. Do not request gift cards, cryptocurrency transfers, account access or money forwarding as part of recruitment. Official Jobara service charges, where offered, must use the payment route presented by the platform.
Do not facilitate trafficking, forced labour, unlawful child labour, sexual exploitation or other illegal work. Do not withhold identity documents, threaten applicants or impose coercive recruitment conditions. Use fair, job-related criteria and comply with applicable employment and equality laws. Screening questions, disqualifying rules and assessments must not be used for unlawful discrimination or unnecessary collection of sensitive information.
An interview or skills exercise must be proportionate to the role and clearly explained. Do not use it deceptively to obtain unpaid productive work. A request for reasonable accessibility arrangements, a good-faith complaint or a decision to withdraw must not lead to harassment or retaliation.
4. Respectful conduct and prohibited harmful content
Communicate professionally. Threats, intimidation, stalking, targeted abuse, sexual harassment, blackmail, doxxing and incitement to violence are prohibited. Do not attack or dehumanise people because of characteristics such as ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, disability or another protected characteristic.
Do not upload or distribute child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate content, exploitative sexual material, or content that recruits for or facilitates violent criminal activity. These rules also cover altered or AI-generated material. Do not use Jobara to sell prohibited goods or services or circulate material unrelated to its professional purpose.
Good-faith criticism, factual complaints and discussion of workplace conditions are allowed within these rules. Disagreement, a negative experience or an unfavourable recruitment assessment is not by itself abuse. Distinguish facts from opinion and do not knowingly publish false allegations or fabricate evidence.
5. Personal data and confidential information
Access personal information only through the permissions and features provided to you, and use it for the purpose for which access was granted. Viewing or unlocking a CV does not give you ownership of the person’s information or permission to use it for unrelated marketing, resale, public disclosure, cross-company blacklists or unauthorised AI training.
Do not harvest contact details, try to reconstruct masked information, bypass private CV settings or use another person’s share link or account to gain access you are not entitled to. Share candidate records, application answers, messages and interview notes only with authorised people who need them for the relevant recruitment work. Respect access changes and applicable deletion or privacy requests, as explained in the Privacy Policy and the relevant role-specific terms.
Do not post someone else’s identity documents, financial details, health information, private contact details, confidential work material or private correspondence without a lawful basis and any permission required. Include only what is necessary. Never request or send passwords, one-time sign-in codes, private keys or full payment credentials through recruitment messages or support forms.
6. Rights in content and professional relevance
Submit only material you own, are authorised to use, or may lawfully use. Respect copyright, trademarks, image rights, trade secrets and confidentiality duties. Do not copy another person’s CV, portfolio or work and present it as yours, misuse an employer’s logo, or imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.
Keep titles, descriptions, images, translations and metadata consistent with the material they describe. Do not use hidden text, unrelated keywords, deceptive links, repeated duplicate adverts or misleading branding to manipulate search or moderation. Clearly distinguish editorial opinion from factual claims and disclose relevant commercial relationships when required by law.
The content licence and ownership rules in the Terms of Service continue to apply. Reporting an alleged infringement does not automatically establish ownership or guarantee removal; provide enough information for Jobara to assess the concern.
7. Messaging, contact details and unwanted outreach
Use messages, invitations and support channels for their intended purpose. Do not send bulk unsolicited advertising, repeated irrelevant invitations, chain messages or deceptive requests. Respect a refusal, withdrawal, conversation block or request to stop contact. Do not move to another account or channel to continue unwanted contact.
In-platform chat restricts external contact information and attempts to move a conversation outside the service. Phone numbers, email addresses, web addresses, social handles and similar contact requests may be masked by automated controls. Do not evade these controls by splitting information across messages, changing its spelling, or hiding it in images, filenames, codes or attachments.
Dedicated contact fields, CV sharing and any external application option explicitly provided by Jobara follow their own access rules. Their availability does not permit bypassing chat filters or publishing private information elsewhere. Where an external destination is permitted, identify it honestly and do not suggest that its terms, safety or data handling are guaranteed by Jobara.
Where file attachments are available, send only relevant files you have the right to share and follow the displayed format and size limits. Do not conceal prohibited content or active malicious code in a file. Inspection or successful delivery does not guarantee that a file, message or sender is safe.
8. Security, automation and service integrity
Do not access accounts, systems or records without permission; attempt credential theft; upload malware; exploit vulnerabilities; interfere with availability; or bypass authentication, role permissions, rate limits, verification, moderation or payment controls. Do not knowingly submit forged payment confirmations or manipulate credits, orders or promotions.
Do not scrape or collect CVs, applications, messages or other personal information in bulk, or use unauthorised bots to submit applications, create accounts, send messages or copy platform content. Ordinary assistive technology and integrations expressly permitted by Jobara may be used within their authorised scope. Public search indexing is subject to Jobara’s published crawler instructions and does not grant permission to access private data or reuse personal information.
If you encounter a suspected security flaw, stop any activity that could expose other people’s data or disrupt the service and report it privately through an available support or security-reporting channel. Provide the affected feature and a minimal description, excluding credentials and unrelated personal data. A report does not itself authorise further testing, exploitation or public disclosure of private information.
9. Responsible use of AI assistance
Where available, Jobara offers user-requested writing and translation assistance, such as professional biographies, CV summaries, selected CV text and experience descriptions. Jobara does not currently offer AI parsing or extraction of uploaded CV files. These writing tools are separate from employer-configured screening rules, which can automatically reject an application based on its answers.
Review generated text and translations before using them. Correct invented facts, inaccurate qualifications, misleading claims, discriminatory wording and inappropriate personal information. You remain responsible for the material you choose to submit. Do not use AI to impersonate someone, fabricate evidence, produce abusive content or evade platform safeguards.
Only submit information you are entitled to use and that is necessary for the requested assistance. Permission to view a candidate’s information on Jobara does not authorise sending it to unrelated AI services. How Jobara handles information used by its own assistance tools is explained in the Privacy Policy.
10. Reporting concerns
Use the available report action for a company, advert or message, or contact Jobara through the website’s contact or support page. Identify the relevant item, explain the concern and provide accurate, relevant evidence. For an intellectual-property complaint, identify the work or right, the disputed material and your authority to raise the issue. Avoid sending unrelated private information or reproducing illegal material.
Make reports in good faith. Do not fabricate complaints, organise mass reporting to silence someone, threaten a person with a report to obtain money or favours, or retaliate against someone for raising a concern. A report, its volume or its status does not by itself establish a violation or guarantee a particular outcome.
Jobara is not an emergency service. If there is an immediate threat to someone’s safety, contact the appropriate local emergency or competent authority as well as using the platform’s reporting channels where helpful. Do not put yourself at risk to gather evidence.
11. Review, enforcement and requests to reconsider
Jobara may use automated controls and authorised human review to address suspected violations. Automated masking, file checks and other restrictions can make mistakes. Passing a check, being published or receiving payment does not mean that content has been legally endorsed or is exempt from later review. Review of reports and related information is subject to the Privacy Policy; do not assume every message is read by staff or that reporting is absolutely anonymous.
Depending on the seriousness, context, likely harm and history of the conduct, Jobara may request a correction, issue a warning, mask or remove content, pause or limit an advert, restrict a feature, or suspend or end access. Immediate action may be necessary for serious safety, fraud, security or legal concerns. Creating another account, using a colleague’s access or reposting the same material to evade a restriction is prohibited.
Where reasonably possible and lawful, Jobara will explain a restriction and provide an opportunity to correct the issue or request review. If you believe an action is mistaken, contact support with the relevant account or item reference, the decision and your reasons or new evidence. A review request does not guarantee reinstatement, a particular response time, a hiring decision or compensation. It does not limit any remedy available under applicable law.
Jobara may preserve relevant records and make necessary disclosures for a lawful investigation, legal obligation or protection against serious harm, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy. Content removal or account restriction does not automatically delete all records or reverse a payment or credit spend. Related service and remedy provisions remain governed by the Terms of Service and Employer Terms.
12. Updates, applicable law and contact
Jobara may update this policy as its services, risks or legal requirements change. The published version and effective date identify the policy in force. Notice and any request to accept an updated version follow the Terms of Service and applicable law; changes do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
This policy is governed by the laws applicable in the Syrian Arab Republic, with disputes subject to the competent courts in Syria, without overriding mandatory jurisdiction rules or non-waivable rights. For questions, reports or review requests, contact Jobara through the website’s contact or support page. Seeking an informal resolution does not prevent lawful remedies or urgent action.
