1. About this policy
This policy explains the responsibilities and choices of people using Jobara to build a profile or CV, find work, share career information and submit applications. Jobara refers to Jobara in Syria. Read this policy with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; the other documents in our legal centre apply to the activities they cover.
You must have the legal capacity required to use the service. Eligibility for a job, including lawful working age and any work authorisation, depends on the applicable rules and the role. Jobara provides recruitment tools and does not guarantee an interview, offer, salary or employment. Employers remain responsible for their recruitment and employment decisions.
2. Accurate information and rights in your content
Provide information that honestly represents your background, experience, skills and qualifications. Keep material details current. Do not impersonate someone else, fabricate references or achievements, alter certificates deceptively, or present another person’s work as your own. Describe team projects and work samples in a way that accurately identifies your contribution.
You retain the rights you hold in your CV and other materials. You must have the authority needed to submit photographs, portfolios, references and supporting documents, including any permission required to share another person’s contact details or an employer’s confidential work. The Terms of Service explain the limited permission Jobara needs to store, display and deliver your content through the features you use.
Review every CV and application before sending it. Updating your profile, changing your default CV or editing one CV does not necessarily update your other CVs, exported files or previously submitted applications.
3. Choose carefully what you include
Include information relevant to your professional profile and the opportunity. Avoid unnecessary identity numbers, bank details, medical or family information, exact home addresses and other sensitive details. Never include passwords, sign-in codes or payment credentials in a CV, application or message.
Where the editor lets you hide a section or item, use the available preview to check what recipients will see. A hidden field can still be stored in your account for editing; hiding it is not deletion. Information written into another visible paragraph, image, link or attachment may still reveal the same detail.
Photographs and portfolio links can identify you and lead to information outside Jobara. Include them only when you want to share them and have the necessary rights. These choices do not remove Jobara’s or an employer’s obligations to handle your information lawfully.
4. Private CVs and employer discovery
CV visibility, publication status and profile discoverability work together. A private CV is excluded from candidate-pool discovery, but can still be shared through an active link you create or included in an application you submit. “Private” does not cancel those separate permissions.
A CV made available to companies can appear in employer sourcing when it is published and your profile is discoverable and marked open to work, subject to account and access restrictions. Choosing company visibility when creating or updating a CV can also publish it and enable those profile settings. Review the resulting settings if you want to limit discovery.
Before a company unlocks an eligible CV, the candidate-pool preview masks selected identifying and contact fields. Professional information such as your headline, summary, skills, education and experience may remain visible. Masking is not a guarantee of anonymity: descriptive text, distinctive experience or details you put in other fields can identify you.
An eligible verified company with the required permission may unlock the CV using its CV-view allowance and see the information available to that access level. The company may be able to download it and organise it in its recruitment workspace. Turning off discovery, leaving open-to-work status, making the CV private or archiving it restricts future sourcing access under the applicable controls, even if a company previously unlocked it. It cannot retrieve copies already saved by a recipient.
5. Sharing links and recipients
You can create a time-limited link for a CV that is eligible for sharing. A person with the complete valid link can access the shared presentation without needing your Jobara account, and may forward the link or save a copy. Share it only with intended recipients; placing it on a public website or social account can make it available to a much wider audience.
Current CV sharing links expire seven days after issue, as shown in the sharing interface. The link-revocation control invalidates existing links for that CV; creating another link alone does not cancel earlier ones. Archiving or deleting the CV, or completing account deletion, also affects link access. Changing candidate-pool visibility to private alone does not revoke a previously issued link.
An active sharing link displays the available current CV presentation, so later edits can be visible to its recipients. Revocation and expiry restrict future access through Jobara, but do not erase screenshots, downloads, forwarded documents or other copies already held outside the platform.
6. What you share when applying
Before submitting, review the advert, selected CV, profile details, note and screening answers, and complete the required information and verification steps. A default CV can help the application flow select a document, but you should still check which CV is being submitted. An employer invitation does not apply on your behalf; you choose whether to submit.
Submitting through Jobara gives the relevant employer and its authorised recruitment team access to the application information and submitted CV for that recruitment process. This access is separate from candidate-pool discovery and does not require the employer to spend a candidate-pool CV-view credit. You can therefore apply with an eligible private CV without making it available throughout the candidate pool.
Current application submissions capture the relevant profile and CV presentation and record the screening questions and answers as part of the submission. Later edits to the live CV do not automatically replace the captured application content. Older records or unavailable materials may not provide the same complete presentation. If an important correction is needed after submission, contact the employer through an available channel or ask Jobara support about the applicable process.
An external application link takes you to another service with its own submission and privacy arrangements. Jobara may not receive or display the outcome of a process completed outside the platform. Check the destination and the information requested before continuing.
7. Screening, application status and withdrawal
Employers may configure screening questions and qualifying answers. A response that matches an employer’s disqualifying rule can automatically mark an application as rejected when it is submitted, before a person reviews it. This is a rule-based screening process, separate from Jobara’s AI writing tools. Answer honestly and review your response before submission.
If you believe a screening result is mistaken or discriminatory, contact the employer through an available contact route and use Jobara’s reporting or support tools for a platform or policy concern. You may request an explanation or review available under applicable law. A review request does not guarantee reopening, an interview or a different hiring result.
Application labels, view indicators and notifications describe recorded activity. A label such as shortlisted, interview, hired or closed does not by itself create or replace an employment contract. Confirm any offer and its conditions directly with the employer. Updates depend on actions and information recorded in the service and may not capture every off-platform event.
Use the withdrawal option when it is available for your application’s current state. Withdrawal records that you have ended your participation and closes the application conversation to new messages under the supported workflow. It does not erase the application history, submitted materials or employer copies. Reapplying may be possible where the advert and application state allow it; a new submission can capture updated information while earlier activity remains in the history.
8. Employer records and communications
Employers may record internal recruiting notes, screening results and interview evaluations, and authorised team members may access submitted materials or create permitted exports. Those internal records are not ordinarily displayed in the candidate interface. This does not remove an access or other right available under applicable law.
Employers must use candidate information for legitimate recruitment, protect it and comply with applicable privacy duties. An unlock or application does not authorise resale, unrelated marketing, bulk harvesting or unauthorised AI training. Once an employer keeps a separate copy or uses information in its own systems, it has responsibilities for that processing. Jobara cannot automatically retrieve those copies or guarantee another party’s conduct.
Keep your messages relevant and respectful, honour interview arrangements or communicate changes, and do not use applications to send spam, threats or unrelated commercial proposals. Manage optional job alerts and notifications through the available preferences. Security and service messages may still be needed; delivery also depends on your contact details, device permissions and the receiving service.
9. AI writing and translation assistance
Jobara’s current AI assistance can help draft a professional bio or CV summary, improve selected CV text, suggest experience bullet points from provided facts, and translate a selected field. Jobara does not currently offer AI parsing or extraction of uploaded CV files. These writing features are optional and do not submit job applications or make hiring decisions for you.
When you request a suggestion, the feature may use your selected text, instructions and relevant profile or structured CV facts to prepare the request to an AI service provider. Do not include information you lack authority to share or sensitive details that are unnecessary for the task. The Privacy Policy explains provider processing, recorded generation information and retention.
Review and edit every suggestion before accepting, saving or sending it. Outputs may be wrong, incomplete, biased or similar to other users’ outputs. Do not accept invented qualifications, employers, dates, achievements or numerical claims. You remain responsible for the content you use. Dismissing a suggestion does not necessarily erase every associated service record or information already processed by a provider.
10. Downloads, safety and concerns about recruitment
Preview an exported CV before sharing it, including its language, layout, contact details and visible sections. A downloaded PDF or other exported copy is separate from the live CV and is not updated or recalled by a later edit, visibility change or link revocation. Protect copies on shared devices and send them only to intended recipients.
Be cautious about unexpected payment demands, requests for account access, misleading vacancies and pressure to disclose sensitive documents. Employer verification is not a guarantee of every statement or future conduct. Do not disclose passwords or verification codes, and verify a recipient and purpose before sending sensitive information or following an external link.
You should not be charged by a recruiter for applying, attending an interview or securing a job through Jobara, including by being asked to cover the employer’s Jobara costs. Report such demands, suspected impersonation, harassment, unsafe files or misuse of your information using the available reporting or support channels. If urgent assistance is needed, contact the appropriate competent authorities; a platform report is not a substitute for that assistance.
11. Editing, archiving, deletion and privacy requests
Use the available tools to edit your profile and CVs, manage visibility, revoke sharing links and archive content. These actions have different effects: limiting sourcing does not withdraw an application, and withdrawal does not delete the recruitment record. Archiving also revokes existing sharing links, but is not a request to erase the account or its application history.
A CV linked to an application cannot currently be deleted as a standalone CV through the ordinary delete control. This protects the existing application record; it does not remove any applicable right to request correction or erasure. You can manage its sourcing visibility and sharing separately, or contact support about a privacy request and use the account-deletion process where appropriate.
Completed account deletion is irreversible. Save any material you are entitled to keep before confirming it. The process removes or redacts account and CV information, application content and other personal material, while limited de-identified history and required records may remain as explained in the Privacy Policy. If cleanup is still pending, follow the available retry or support process rather than assuming deletion has completed. Removing an app or signing out is not account deletion.
You may contact Jobara about access, correction, deletion, restrictions or other rights available under applicable law. For copies or decisions controlled independently by an employer, you may also need to contact that employer. We will assess requests and any lawful limitations under the Privacy Policy. You do not have to delete your entire account merely to raise a privacy concern.
12. Moderation, updates, Syrian law and contact
Jobara may restrict content or access where reasonably necessary to address false information, infringement, abuse, security risks or other policy breaches. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the issue and provide a route to request review, as described in the Terms of Service. Do not create another account to evade a restriction.
The published version and effective date identify the policy in force. Changes, any renewed acceptance and limits of responsibility are governed by the Terms of Service. Nothing here removes mandatory employment, privacy or other rights, or excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
This policy is governed by the laws applicable in the Syrian Arab Republic, with disputes subject to the competent courts in Syria, without overriding mandatory jurisdiction rules or non-waivable rights. Contact Jobara through the website’s contact or support page. Informal resolution is encouraged but is not a condition for using a lawful remedy or taking urgent action.
The Arabic and English versions are intended to express the same rights and obligations. Report any discrepancy so it can be corrected. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
